Change color of text background?

Category:

  • Question

This has me stumped. I've been able to change the entire page background, but I can't seem to figure out how to change the color of the box on which the page content appears. It doesn't seem to be an option under Configure Theme, as I've changed every option there under custom. You can control the color of the text, but not the background on which it appears. Ideally, I'd like to set white text on a dark colored box, but I can't get the box to be anything other than white. Is there a way to change this, or is it locked out by the theme (using MIT Adaptive)?

To change something that isn't configurable within the theme controls, use the CSS Injector (Configuration -> Development -> CSS Injector). In your case, you'll want to override the background-color rule for the content-style div. You can do this sitewide or limit it to the front page.

See the FAQ for more detailed instructions here.
