With the launch of the MIT Sites service, Drupal Cloud is being phased out. Effective January 2, 2024, no new Drupal Cloud sites will be created. Students, faculty, and staff are invited to visit sites.mit.edu to create a new MIT website.
We currently run a server with [hostname].mit.edu but I would like to update the site onto a Drupal server. What do I need to do to keep my current server up until I'm ready for the changeover?

You can request a Drupal Cloud site using an alternate hostname, such as [hostname]-dev.mit.edu, so that you can leave your current site up and running while you build out your new one.
When the Drupal Cloud site is ready to launch, email drupalcloud@mit.edu and request the hostname change. If the old site is to be assigned a new name to remain reachable, please include that information as well. Please give as much advance notice as you can, as changes take time to propagate.
We will need to verify ownership of the hostname, then have three business days to schedule a DNS update.
