Issues with Views

  • Question

Hi All,
I'm having problems accessing the Views interface. It seems like a permissions issue, but I can't seem to figure out what's going on. My content managers have permissions to read/write/etc for views, but views isn't listed in my menus, and I can't get it from the normal drop-down menu. I've tried manually going to the views URL and I get an access denied error. After clearing caches, I can temporarily access the interface for views, but I get this error:

An AJAX HTTP error occurred.
HTTP Result Code: 500
Debugging information follows.
Path: /admin/structure/views/view/submitted_application/preview/page_1/ajax
StatusText: Internal Server Error

Thoughts?

Just kidding. It was a browser plugin called No Script. A cautionary tale, folks!

Nope, problem still exists. Question still stands.

Which version do you have selected in jQuery update (Configuration -> Development -> jQuery Update)? I read on Drupal.org about an incompatibility problem between jQuery 1.8 and Views UI that might be consistent with what you're describing here.

1.7. It's working again, I disabled all the developer UIs and re-enabled them and it's been fine ever since (is that the Drupal version of turning it off then on again?)

Hmm... I'm not sure what you mean by "disabled all the developer UIs and re-enabled them..." Could you offer a little more detail? I'm missing something.

I use the old toolbar. Under the favicon, there's an option to flush caches, run cron, and disable developer modules. You can then select which UI you want to disable (View, Rules, Devel).

Interesting. I'm reporting this to the team for further investigation. Thanks!
